Barrett Family Wellness Center is dedicated to treating our clients AND their family.

Our therapies include contact time with Parents after EACH session to discuss progress made and home programs to continue improvements between visits. We also offer many Workshops to help educate families on the most asked about topics of the season.

This spring, we are offering the following Workshops at NO CHARGE. We hope you will take advantage of coming to them and that you are able to gain a lot of helpful insight. Please spread the word to friends and colleagues. All are welcome.

Creating a Sensory Integration Space at Home
April 24, 2012 (Tuesday); 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Barrett Family Wellness Center
Presenter: Phyllis Barrett Samara, OTR/L, Founder and Certified SI Therapist
Every child would benefit with a sensory space in their home.  A special place designed specifically for them to re-group, relax and cool off.  The design of this space is based on sensory integration theory.  Beginning with a brief introduction to sensory processing disorders, arousal levels, and how our senses effect us; the class will spend the majority of time on space, mood and equipment considerations and how to design a sensory space in your home.
